Who We're Looking For
Itembase is seeking a Lead Engineer with experience in building and scaling complex distributed systems to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of our Commerce iPaaS, providing technical guidance and leadership to a team of engineers. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and a track record of delivering results.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of our Commerce iPaaS Core Modules, providing technical guidance and leadership to a team of engineers
- Design and implement scalable and efficient solutions for processing and analyzing large amounts of data in real-time
- Ensure high system availability, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product features that align with business goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with coding standards and practices
- Continuously improve system architecture and infrastructure to meet evolving business needs
Who we hope you are or want to become (Requirements).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on building and scaling complex distributed systems
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud computing
- Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Spring Framework, Kafka, and Docker
- Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML/CSS and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React
- Experience leading a team of engineers and providing technical guidance and leadership
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality code
- Experience with testing, deployment, and monitoring of distributed systems
- Experience with machine learning and data analysis is a plus
